THE APACHE RELAY
Indie-roots band The Apache Relay formed by chance in a Nashville college dorm room and after just one gig at Nashville's Belmont University, it became undeniably evident that the four musicians had a unique chemistry and were on to something special.
Their debut LP, 1988, was released in 2009 and produced by Doug Williams (renowned for his work with the Avett Brothers). The record cracked the door to reveal the band's capabilities, and Paste Magazine named it an "Auspicious Debut" and highlighted the band as "Best of What's Next." Capitalizing on that success with relentless touring, The Apache Relay honed their sound and released their follow-up American Nomad in 2011. Indie Shuffle described the album as "an excellent effort from a musically skilled group with evident appreciation for the rich, layered brand of American rock 'n' roll that pays homage to the road..."
Since then, they've continued their regiment of non-stop touring, amassing a fervent fanbase for their jumping-up-and-down energetic shows.
THE LONELY WILD
Rarely does a young band emerge with a combination of skills, talents and vision fully developed. Outfits in which each member shares a singular artistic vision and the ability to see it through is a trait mostly found in heritage artists who've spent decades performing together. Not the case for the LA-based quintet The Lonely Wild, whose writing and arranging talents are only surpassed by their ability to work seamlessly as one, dynamic voice.
Formed in 2010 and picking up solid momentum from their 2011 critically acclaimed EP, Dead End, The Lonely Wild quickly made a name for themselves in and around greater Los Angeles. They released their debut full-length album, The Sun As It Comes, at a sold-out show at The Satellite in LA in 2013 via their own Ursa Major Recordings. Their latest effort is a record that reflects upon the times in which we live while taking the listener on a sonic journey of impressive heights.
Nashville-based country/rock combo Promised Land Sound will open the show.
