About 80/35 and DMMC
Ten years of magic. 2017 marks a decade of 80/35. Organized by the non-profit Des Moines Music Coalition (DMMC), 80/35 was founded in 2008 with the vision to spark growth in the city's live music economy — to think outside the box to further enhance a creative, vibrant culture.
Beyond 80/35, the Des Moines Music Coalition drives initiatives to support musicians and our growing scene, including an industry conference, educational opportunities, summer music camps for kids, festivals featuring all Iowa bands, and the current Music For All Ages advocacy effort.
